We’ve been creating prototypes of Embroidery Boxes for Visually Impaired People. Specifically, these boxes are for Pakjit Pakjai, a group of visually impaired individuals who embroider fabric in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
These prototype were displayed during Chiang Mai Design Week 2019 and garnered the interest and attention from many attendants. Additionally, The Lanna Culture & Crafts Association has asked PlanToys to help develop more unique designs and prototypes of the like. For the Embroidery Boxes, the association hopes to raise funds and partner with PlanToys toofficially manufacture and distribute them to visually impaired individuals who are interested in embroidery. This has been a unique project for us and we’re excited to see it through!
